Because we are having trouble getting volunteers to help out in the kitchen during tournaments, we are reverting to the old system whereby members are allocated to a time and tournament to help in the kitchen. The roster is shown below and also at the club house so please check when you are due to help. If you cannot make that date, please arrange for someone else to take your place.
In most cases we have two people for the morning and two for the afternoon. For Open Tournaments the morning helpers need to be there around 8 a.m. to make coffee and tea and set out some food for when the competitors arrive. For In Club Tournaments we do not serve drinks or food before the tournament so the helpers can afford to arrive later. The afternoon helpers should arrive around 12 p.m. for all tournaments.
Drinks and food are always served after the first and second games. Once the last game has started everything can be washed up and put away. Please also wipe down the tables but leave them out for the competitors to use at the end of tournament.
Can I also ask for members to bring some cakes, cookies etc These do not have to be fancy (but they can be!) nor do they have to be home made and they should be at the club house the afternoon before the tournament so that we can see if we need to buy any extra.
